Today I am SO excited to continue my series of spotlighting women I admire in Columbus! If you missed it, be sure to check out the first woman I asked these off-the-wall questions to: Jeni Britton Bauer. My next
victim interviewee is the amazing Allie Lehman from The Wonder Jam. I first met Allie through Instagram when I saw she was doing photos for Real Food, Real Simple (which is now my favorite cookbook). Allie put out a call on Instagram for anyone interested to help eat the leftover desserts….so I KINDLY obliged. That day I met her at the studio and ever since have enjoyed connecting with her at the various WonderJam events I love to attend. She is super plugged into this Columbus creative community and I like to take any opportunity to get to know her better. What better way than to ask her my quick fire questions? Check out what Allie had to share:
Who was your first concert?
Coldplay! I saw them one night, road tripped across two states and saw them the next night. Front row mosh pit both shows. I think I even snagged the set list and drum sticks. I feel like I discovered Coldplay before they were cool and then uncool. They’ve always been cool to me.
Least favorite font.
Worst combination of flavors you’ve tasted.
This is weird but I’m the least picky person ever and I can’t think of anything I haven’t liked in decades!
Growing up, did you have a first name you wish you would’ve been named?
Mandy (and I’m not even making that up). Although your spelling is better. My favorite book of all time was Mandy by Julie Andrews Edwards.
What is an unpopular opinion you have?
I think leggings are fine as pants.
What’s the last text you sent?
“Where’d you go?” Sounds so emo out of context
What is your #1 most played song right now?
Probably Sober by Lorde. That whole album is one of my favorites from this year.
The best part of waking up is…
Favorite new restaurant you’ve been to (can be in Columbus or elsewhere).
I hope it doesn’t have to be actually new because I feel like I rarely go to a newly opened restaurant! But if we consider something new to me, I ate at the most amazing risotto at Richard’s in Boise, Idaho.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever witnessed?
That is such a hard question! We were in Jamaica when Hurricane Sandy came through and I really love storms. We got to watch it come through on our balcony and it was amazing.
