Holiday Cards with Basic Invite

October 29, 2017

It may be hard to believe, but it is time to start thinking about holiday cards!  Whether you have a full family brood or are sending something out solo, it is a lot of fun to put together a holiday card for family and friends.  I was excited when Basic Invite approached me because I was determined about getting something sent out this year (as I we totally dropped the ball last season).  Along with all of their other products, Basic Invite has over 250 Christmas and Holiday card designs.  WHAT.  I can guarantee that anything you are looking for this year is in their library.  Plus, right now they are offering 30% off your order with the coupon code: holi30.

And since you all are my dear friends, I’ll go ahead and reveal our card at the end of the post!  Friends and family—just pretend you haven’t seen this once yours comes in the mail. 🙂

Here are some of the things that stand out to me about Basic Invite:

  • Colors, colors, colors!  If you like the layout of a card, but aren’t necessarily sold on the color–it can be changed!  Feel free to select from an almost unlimited palette and then preview your design changes right on the spot.  They even have over 40 envelope colors to choose from as well!
  • Custom samples.  Basic Invite is actually one of the few websites that allow you to order a printed sample of your piece so you can see it in person and feel the paper type.  All before you have to place a final order!
  • Address capturing. Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. And this is all at no cost.

As for our card?  I wanted something with the opportunity to use a handful of photos from throughout the year celebrating some of the highlights.  The biggest part of our year was getting our first home, so I wanted to be sure to include a photo from the day we signed our contracts.  I had the opportunity to edit the text and color so that I could get a really clean, modern, and simple look.  I love it!  And can’t wait to share it with our friends and family!

So what are you waiting for??  Look around!  They have photo Christmas cards but also office holiday party invitations and christmas party invitation!
